LIGHTING FIXTURES
This bathroom originally was very dark with only one overhead shower light and a vanity sconce above the sink. We replaced with a new vanity mirror, and updated with new high hat replacements.
We wanted to brighten it up with out blinding the user. I decided to add some more lights along with replacing the old fixtures. However we ran into issues with the structure in the ceiling. So, I dropped the entire ceiling to add recessed perimeter lights along two walls. Then we were able to place all the fixtures in a symmetrical fashion while highlighting the new porcelain wall cladding.
Lamp Restoration
The client wanted to keep the old lamps but modify them for a new look. The original lamp was hand crafted plaster with a light glaze and a short wide flare shade. This shape made the lamp look stubby and round, and the light color didn't provide enough contrast from the table or the wall that it is next to.
Therefore, I painted them with our custom blue color and then glazed them black to emphasize the beautiful hand carvings and patterns. Then we looked at some options for changing the lamp shades to a shape that better suited the aesthetic of the room.
Customized Sconces
This is the lighting treatments for the formal bar. We initially looked into these cylindrical sconce fixtures however when we installed them, they seemed to be too small for the space.
we decided to go with a different model however we hated the lamp shade that it came with. The color was too yellow and the shade was too large and it covered up most of the fixture without giving us the height that I was looking for.
I decided to prototype a new shade and take it to a lamp shade manufacturer for a proper fitting.
FURNITURE RESTORATION
These end tables and this large Armoire came with the house and the client decided that she liked them enough to keep them. So, I suggested that we refinish them with the custom color that I made.
The finish process I did was to first, sand and strip the original polish. Second, wire brush the natural wood to deepen and expose the grain. Third to paint the surface with the solid color paints. And Last to set in a black glaze into the grain, exposing its details.

BUILT-IN CABINETS
This elevation shows the base cabinets for the sink and refrigeratior too small to fit in the space. The sink is less than 14 inches and the drawers will not have sufficient amount of space. Correction will be to get a 15 inch refrigerator and a 15 inch sink, in order for them both to fit comfortably.
